Young Emerging Evaluator 4-Month Internship Opportunity
We are excited to invite host organisations with active Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) functions to participate in our Emerging Evaluators Programme by host a Young Emerging Evaluator (YEE) for a 4-month placement.
This initiative offers organisations the opportunity to:
- Enhance internal M&E capacity by receiving additional support for key tasks and projects.
- Contribute to South Africa’s evaluation pipeline by supporting early career professionals.
- Foster mentorship and knowledge-sharing within the sector.
- Expand networks in the broader M&E community.
Placement Details:
- Duration: 4 months
- Available Placements: 6
- Stipend: R6 900 per month per YEE (covered by SAMEA and disbursed by host)
- Preferred Host Locations: Eastern Cape. Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North-West, Northern Cape (to promote diversity and inclusion)
What is expected from Host Organisations?
- Provide a supportive and structured learning environment.
- Assign meaningful M&E tasks that align with both the YEE’s development and organisational needs.
- Offer mentorship and guidance.
- Ensure access to workspace and necessary resources.
- Submit a brief month report to SAMEA.
